We cordially invite interested students from all universities to take part in the UNiG MUN of the UNi-Gruppe taking place from the Janurary 15th to 17th 2010. The Security Council, the primary body mandated with maintaining peace and security, will be concerned with the pressing issue of North Korea. North Korea’s uranium richement programm and its nuclear weapon tests have caused anxiety in the whole region. Many countries fear a new rising of the tension between North and South Korea destroying all previous achievements concerning the peace process. In order to secure this region, a peaceful settlement of this conflict must be achieved.
